We are a collective of designers, strategists, creatives and branding specialists who believe that a deeper understanding of brief, proposition and audience leads to better design solutions and subsequently business.

a lITTle BIT aBOUT US

Founded in 2010 by current Art Director, Ahmed Akasha, D237 started from a desire to create a dynamic and multidisciplinary design agency that worked outside the creative industry’s mainstream. Solely built on recommendations from happy clients, over the years, we’ve worked with entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized businesses as well as giants such as Facebook, Getty Images, NHS, The Barbican Centre, and the Mayor of London (excuse the shameless name dropping!). Our ethos through the years has remained the same: close, personal relationships with clients, taking our time to understand their briefs to successfully achieve their specific wants and needs.

Our client base is wide-ranging, from small businesses to global giants, from arts to corporate, and from local government and charities to the private sector. We strongly believe in cross-learning and aim to think outside the ‘sector box’.

As a collective, we expand and contract according to the needs of each project. That allows us to tailor a team for each project to deliver the best results at the leanest costs.

Central to our work is a sense of integrity and commitment balanced with a love of design and joyfulness. We believe in approaching our work with delight because it is essentially about communicating ideas and improving the human experience. However lofty this may sound, we believe it.

If you have an interesting project you think we can help you with, please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.

…and a lITTLE BIT FroM Our lovely CLIENTS

“We love working with D237. They’re passionate about design, passionate about their clients. They truly know how to interpret a brief and will go to the ends of the earth to make sure they deliver exactly what we want (and more!). And, to top it all, they’re incredibly nice people so doing business with them is always a great pleasure.”
– Janine Irons, Managing Director, Dune Music

“We’ve loved working with D237 since 2017/8 both on strategic projects such as a rebrand, brand guidelines and web redesign, as well as on day-to-day assets for our projects and events. Ahmed is really insightful to work with, understanding our audience and potential audiences and how we as a small arts company can develop our brand. He offers ideas and solutions, advice and guidance – D237 is our go to collaborator for all things artwork, branding & digital related and Ahmed and the whole team are just lovely to work with!”
Lisa Mead, Director, Apples and Snakes

“..they would often supply us with artwork which captured the marketing message and spoke to our core audiences in clear, concise & creative manner. Suffice to say I would have no hesitation in working with or recommending them in the future.”
Natasha Anderson, Communications Manager, Barbican London

“We received a recommendation to use D237 and I can see why – Ahmed and the team were fantastic to deal with. As a small charity with a tight budget and even tighter design deadline, we knew we were asking for a lot, but they exceeded our expectations for the design of two publications. They were so friendly and approachable and understood our brief, so we had complete confidence in working with them. We have received compliments on their design work and so will look to use D237 again in the future.”
Vikki Elliott, Deputy Director of Outreach and Involvement, The Koestler Trust

“D237 provide a great, personal service, and are equally as comfortable on both the design and technical aspects. We’ve been using them for several years and have been very happy.”
Minnie Crowe, Company Director, TriForce Promotions
